MUNICIPAL REPORT:
Purpose: To see your elected officials in action and to look upon them with a critical eye, to
support them, to offer suggestions, or to just see their vision. Each student will be required to
attend a municipal (city, county, school or special district) meeting.
This report must be typed, 12 Times New Roman font,
double spaced with 1 inch normal margins.
The report should include:
a) Analysis of elected officials, city or county representatives (number, gender, age, ethnicity,
etc.); and audience (general census)
b) Outlined procedures followed to discuss an issue, how did they vote, the process;
c) Summary of one issue observed and resolved;
d) Personal evaluation of meeting with problems observed and solutions.
