Using the tools you have at hand (phone, camera, computer, etc.), create a video that either explains how to do something, discusses a current event, or tells a story. It can be anything—describe a process, teach us something, play an instrument—but you have to be on the video (not just recording someone). If you’re new to video creation, review the resources and conduct your own searches. You can also ask for ideas or help on the discussion forums.
Your video does not need to be professionally edited. I’m looking for authenticity.
You should create a storyboard for your video to outline your topic. See the WikiHow article How to Create a Storyboard.
Your video needs to have audio and (obviously) video and should be 3-5 minutes (longer is fine–up to 10 minutes—shorter is not).
You may use the Kaltura video creator available through Blackboard. See the reference links on how to use it.
If you create your video using other methods (e.g., cell phone, webcam, etc.), you may also post it on YouTube. Be sure to use the “unlisted” setting within YouTube to protect your privacy. If you are not comfortable doing this, you may also place your video on your university-provided OneDrive in a folder shared with your instructor. Contact your instructor early if you choose this option.
Please make sure all work you turn in is original and adheres to the Bellevue University Plagiarism Policy (Bellevue University Plagiarism and Copyright Resources).
