Part A – Website design principles (1500 words)
The first task in this assessment is to write an essay on user centered website design principles and standards. Draw on the content from Modules 1-3, the referenced resources within them, and other current literature and practitioner resources to support the design principles outlined in essay.

Part B – The website evaluation
Using the design principles described in part A, describe and develop a template for evaluating websites. The template should include a set of questions (criteria) supported by research that you will use to evaluate the key interface features of a website. You can use either a checklist or a rating scale for your template. This template should help you to identify which website features violate or conform to good usability principles.

Your final write-up should contain the following:
A thorough description of website design principles and standards. You should critique the key features required in a website for good usability. (1500 words).
For Part B, you will write a 500 words background description and discussion of literature (e.g., research on web interface, web usability standards, examples from professional practice etc.) relevant to the questions you will include in your template. Following this background narrative, develop your template.
The developed template itself should be attached in an appendix.
