My name is Meznah Ali Rasheed from Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE). I have just graduated from MBBS program in Dubai, UAE. I’m applying for a residency position at McGill University in Canada with speciality of Internal Medicine.
I want you to mention how leaders in medicine in my country (UAE) have studied in Canada. So, I want to follow their path and become a competent physician. I want you to show that Canada is known to have strong residency programs and they graduate competent physicians and specialists. I want you also to sort of state that I really want McGill university.

I have received multiple academic rewards throughout medical school.

Internal medicine, cardiology and gastroenterology have always been my passion. I have changed my mind a couple of times throughout medical school, but now I am applying from my top choice ever since I have entered medical school.

Reasons that drew me towards internal medicine: I love critical thinking and puzzling cases as it brings so much thought to diagnose a patient. You learn so much from a single patient and you manage a patient as hole.

You can also add that getting accepting into their program will help me get a new experience, learn a different culture, and engage with many people.
