We have some heavy ideas being reviewed in this week’s readings. Please dive a little deeper into one idea that you found interesting/pertinent/poignant. Read an article or a review of a book that was mentioned in one of the chapters from this week. Explain how that particular article or review added insight to the chapter in which it was referenced or the week’s content as a whole. For example, the idea of 3rd space referenced at the bottom of page 143 (Hammond, 2015) was also referenced in the introduction to module 2. If you are intrigued by that reference, look up the article by Kris Gutierrez on our library website and think a bit more about how 3rd space relates to either chapter 9 or Language, Power, and Pedagogical Strategy.
