We’ve actually seen some very interesting applications of derivatives over the past couple of weeks, and we’ll continue to see more. Let’s look at interpreting a derivative.

Suppose we have the function, P = f(t), which represents the population of a country in millions of people, where t is the number of years that have passed since 1990. Suppose also that we know,

f'(6) = 2.7
