Focusing on media interventions as in ways to change the media-counter narrative to neo-liberalistic capitalism – business objective/profit vs community-radio is significant because it shows non-profit is possible/viable-part of a bigger movement around the world – currently Australian focused, historical context -Explicit vs implicit messaging – (instead if profit)-Community is important, humanizing those who have been dehumanised, isolated, othered, excluded,-prisoners, women, poc- have a voice,-furthers other community lead initiatives -rainbow capitalism – tokenistic, but when it is gone -terrifying-in an age where we are saturated in tokenistic language, community radio is walking the walk (actually doing instead of just celebrating/talking) Historical context of community radio in Australia.
