How do you view your organization’s human resource department if you currently have a job, and how would you improve it?

After reviewing chapter one, I hope that you found out that HR managers do much more work than what we expect before having HR experience or taking an HR course. We are going to dig into your ideas of HRM with this assignment. Below are the items you will need to complete.

A. Write 3-5 paragraphs on your definition of human resource management that you have gained from unit one resources. Some questions could include: How do you view your organization’s human resource department if you currently have a job, and how would you improve it? Did you initially like human resource management, or do you now like it since you are taking this course? Last, describe the functions of human resource management that you have observed from your previous work experiences or that you thought were the functions of HR.

B. As a human resource manager, most individuals will belong to a professional organization called the Society of Human Resource Managers (SHRM). In the past, I was on the board for my local SHRM and know that it is a great organization. Please visit the following website SHRM Website and browse it for information about SHRM. Some questions to answer could be what do they do? or What is SHRM’s purpose? Then write 1-2 paragraphs on what you learned about SHRM and how this organization can benefit human resource managers.
