This assignment addresses how you could personally lead a more sustainable life. Here are the requirements: · Inventory and Carbon Footprint: Take an inventory of your life for one week and consider everything that you do as it relates to sustainability. Remember to include social aspects such as volunteerism as well as energy, transportation, waste/composting/recycling, consumer/fashion choices, food choices, water usage, etc. Create a table or bullet-point list of your activities and include it in this section. Complete the Personal Ecological Footprint Calculator online (https://www.footprintcalculator.org/) and determine how many earths would it take for everyone to sustain your lifestyle. Take a screenshot of the results and include in your document. · Potential Changes: What are the implications of your findings? Consider at least 10 changes that you could make to lead a more sustainable life and rank them 1-10 from the most practical to the least. Ranking is different than rating, so you will have one change for each corresponding number. Include the same categories mentioned in the footprint section. Describe the changes in terms of why you ranked it where you did. · Plans and Reflection: Consider the pros and cons of each potential change in a practical, honest way considering your current resources and situation. What is the likelihood that you will actually make these changes in your life to live more sustainably? If not now, then when? Discuss the factors that might enable or constrain you from getting the improvement in sustainability. Finally, reflect on what you have learned from this assignment. Write a paper addressing the requirements. It should be approximately 6-8 pages but there is no penalty for writing more. Feel free to include graphs, tables, charts, etc. The document should be double spaced with 12-pt font and 1-in. margins. A cover page with the title of the assignment, your name, the class name, and date are required. Use APA style to cite your sources. Use headings and subheadings to organize the information for the reader. The use of headings is a requirement and points will be deducted for not using them. Use the headings suggested in the rubric: inventory and carbon footprint, potential changes, plans and reflection. Your writing will also factor into your grade. The grading rubric is available on Moodle. This assignment is worth 100 points.
